Well today I’m working on Day 5 of the Get Organized Challenge hosted by Toni at A Boxful of Lemons. I have already organized it in the past, so mostly this was about cleaning all the bottles and folding my dishcloths more neatly and …. getting my DH to change the filter in our BestWater purification system.
If you want to know about the cleaning products under your sink and if they are harmful, take an interactive online quiz to see. It’s called, “What’s Under Your Sink?”

If you have teenagers, you know they are going to take the lazy way out and not wash the cheese off the baked casserole dish. They are going to put it in the dishwasher and pray the mess cleans itself. Then, (I’m telling on my teenager…. ) when they unload the dishwasher, they just put the dirty dish in the cabinet so they don’t have to deal with it. If you’ve had this happen, you know how frustrating it can be!
Anyway, I found one of these cheesy casserole dishes in my cabinet today. I thought this would make a good blog post about how easy it is to clean. I seriously doubt my teen will read it or even care! But, I hope it helps you.
BEFORE picture:
First, I sprayed the casserole dish with Basic H household formula.
Then, I applied a thin coat of Scour Off Heavy Duty Paste and I let it soak 5 minutes.
Next, I did a little scrubbing with a scratchy pad.
Finally, I rinsed it with water!
When you try this, you will be amazed how easily it scrubs clean.
This took less than 5 minutes and look how clean and shiny! And most important… I didn’t use any toxic cleaners! Safe for me and the planet!

I found a most delightful blog today called, A Bowl Full of Lemons. It’s a blog about cleaning and organizing your home. She posted a 21 day challenge to help us all get our houses organized. I decided to jump right in and tackle the first challenge today since we are snowed in for the day!
Clean out a junk drawer! I chose the junk drawer by our refrigerator where we stuff everything when we clean the kitchen.
I took a picture before….. It doesn’t look like too much junk!
But looks can be deceiving…. Here it is after I took it all out and put it on the counter!
It took about 10 minutes to sort though these items. I decided to throw away about 75% of it. I took a few items to other places in the house, but kept a few pens and scissors so they would be easy to find.
And the after picture…..
That was too easy! What’s next????

My husband (the pizza doctor) made me the most delicious pizza and I wanted to share it with you because it so easy to make, it is healthy, and it’s delicious!
Here are the steps if you would like to make your own!
1 flour tortilla
2 tsp of creamed cheese with chives
Smoked Salmon Sliced thinly
Sliced sweet onion
Low fat shredded mozzarella cheese
Assemble the ingredients and bake in a preheated oven on an oven stone at 500 degrees.
This is the creamed cheese we used. Spread it to the edges of the tortilla.
He used this premium sliced smoked salmon on the pizza. He sliced it a little bit smaller.
Place salmon evenly on pizza.
Add sliced onions.
Add low fat mozzarella cheese.
Sprinkle corn meal on your pizza peel and your hot stone to prevent sticking. Gently slide pizza onto pizza stone using the pizza peel.
Bake for approximately 8 minutes or until cheese on top browns. Remove from oven with pizza peel.
Use pizza cutter to slice into 8 pieces.
Eat this healthy low calorie pizza guilt free!
Thanks Pizza Doctor!
