30 Day Home Office Fitness Challenge Day 5: Low Back Stretches


It’s 8:30 and I’ve begun my Home Office Fitness Challenge.  Even though I work a corporate job, I love to write blogs and have an affiliate marketing business too.  So this challenge is allowing me to do short workouts while I read and write for my blogs.  So far, the challenge is fairly easy with small daily changes.  Today I did the low back stretches which I really needed because my low back and hips are hurting after my 2 mile walk yesterday  (first time I have walked in months…and that wasn’t part of the challenge…but I needed some stress relief.)

Anyway, I also did yesterday’s neck and shoulder exercises.  Now, it’s time to get ready for work.  I just packed a healthy lunch with lots of convenient snacks.  Amazing how much more fun it is to pack lunch when you’ve just been grocery shopping.

I am so proud of my lunch.  I have packed whole almonds, dried apricots, an apple, and a pear.  I made a sandwich from whole wheat honey bread I bought at the Bluebird Market Saturday.  I used Hellmann’s Mayo with Olive Oil (only 5g of fat.), lean turkey, sliced cucumbers and a leaf of fresh basil from the market.  Yum!    I also cut up a purple bell pepper for by crunchy snack to eat with my sandwich.  I’ll plan to drink 3 of my 20 oz water bottles today at work.

This weekend, I drank more water than I usually do, but still have not reached the level I need.

For someone who does not enjoy exercising, this fitness challenge is helping me to do what I know I need to do.  I hope that by the end of the challenge, my aversion for exercise will be subdued.  We’ll that’s 45 minutes… 10 min. exercises, 15 minutes making lunch, 10 minutes writing about it.
