Hello Shaklee Family,
Most anyone who is reading the newspapers or watching the news on television is more than aware of the latest threats to our health. As we have seen in the past, outbreaks in one part of the world can be of concern to all so it has never been more important to focus on doing all you can to protect your health beginning with immune function and starting today.
Your ability to stay well rests upon the vibrant functioning of your immune system. Here are a few simple things to do:
- Take Shaklee Vitalizer and Nutriferon® daily as the foundation of your immune health program. Vitalizer provides key vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that are critically important to immune function as well as providing a host of other health benefits.* Nutriferon is truly a breakthrough in immune science?a unique, multi-patented botanical blend created in collaboration with Dr. Yasuhiko Kojima, the discoverer of interferon. Nutriferon is supported by five published clinical studies (referenced below) and is the only dietary supplement shown to naturally increase the production of interferon, critically important for immune health. For additional support, you can take Defend and Resist Complex on an as needed basis. Be sure you have the new Incredivites on hand for your children and you can add in our great Chewable Vita-C® and Optiflora® Probiotic for a little extra boost for them as well.*And while you are committing to being healthier, be sure you:
- Eat a healthy diet, full of antioxidants and immune supporting nutrients. This means avoiding fast food restaurants (generally empty calories) and committing to eating at least five servings of fresh fruits and vegetables every day.
- Get plenty of rest. Your immune system can be very negatively impacted by inadequate sleep. Be sure to get at least seven hours per night (7 ½ to 8 ½ is ideal).
- Wash your hands. That is one of the best ways to stay well, even if you are exposed.
Sending warmest regards,
Dr. Jamie McManus M.D.
