According to the CDC, 9 out of 10 Americans are eating too much salt, nearly double the amounts recommended. You may be surprised to find out the source is not the salt shaker.
The dietary guidelines recommend no more than 2300 mg of sodium per day. The CDC study found that Americans consumed 3466 mg per day.
Most of this over consumption of salt comes from processed foods and eating out.
Too much salt may lead to:
- High bl0od pressure
- Kidney Failure

Staying within recommended limits will require you to eat less processed food and more fresh and healthy foods prepared at home. So take warning… make some changes today!
